- Advisor Accounts: Webull Smart Advisors offers personalized and automated investment services tailored to your personal risk tolerance and featuring six diversified portfolios.

- Entity Accounts: These trading accounts are held in the name of a legal entity and can be used to manage investments, hold financial instruments, and conduct trading. Some examples include corporations, LLCs, or partnerships.

Trading Platform Features
When trading options online, it’s key to use an app that functions well, has an intuitive design, and is available on desktop and mobile. We examined Webull’s and E*TRADE’s platforms to find out which one was ultimately the better choice. Webull’s features and setup are more simplistic, while E*TRADE has a more extensive array of offerings. Both are generally easy to use and customize, too.
Webull Platform
Interface and User Experience
Webull has an easy-to-use, intuitive website and mobile app design, something we discovered testing out the app for a few weeks. There is a side of the platform that can come across as overwhelming to newbies, particularly when it comes to customization options and multiple trading tools. When it comes to performance, we found Webull pleasurable in terms of speed and reliability in executing trades and forming trading strategies. The website claims that the execution quality is 98.96% for trades up to 99 shares. Therefore, Webull is slightly better than the average trading app with a typical execution quality of 96.95%.
Customization Options
• Adjust chart settings with various technical indicators
• Personalize your interface by adding, removing, and resizing widgets
• Create multiple layouts for different strategies
• Set up custom color schemes

E*TRADE Platform
Interface and User Experience
E*TRADE caters to a wider swath of users including advanced traders and newer investors, so the design of the website and mobile app is relatively easy to navigate. The best way to describe it is intuitive. The menus and tabs are highly organized for both formats and operate with great speed, functionality, and handling. The app is tricky to navigate at times for beginners, but there are handy educational tools available under the “Knowledge” menu.
Customization Options
A few ways that customers at E*TRADE can customize their experience is through the use of multiple watchlists where they can customize data fields to their liking. These fields include bid/ask, price, volume, and specific securities. Another major customization feature available to traders and investors at E*TRADE is column customization where data columns can be picked and chosen in the security listings.
Mobile and Desktop Compatibility
E*TRADE can be accessed through your desktop computer or on the mobile app, available for use on smartphones and tablets. Unlike other trading platforms, E*TRADE comes in four formats:

• E*TRADE Mobile App: Use the app for watchlist integration (this feature isn’t a part of the website. For the most part, the mobile app works just as the website does, containing many of the same features and functionalities.
• Power E*TRADE App: If you want to take your trading session to the next level via the mobile app, use the Power E*TRADE app which has every capability and feature that you would find on the E*TRADE website.
Note: The regular E-Trade app provides charts, streaming quotes, portfolio information, research, education, tools, and screeners. The Power E-Trade Advanced Trading app is geared toward stocks, options, futures, and ETFs, where traders can employ anything from basic to advanced strategies.

Webull doesn’t have any of the inactivity fees, withdrawal fees, and account management costs that you find with a lot of other brokers. Webull is a great choice for investors who want to keep their costs low.
Discounts for High-Volume Traders
E*TRADE has discounts for high-volume and active traders—they offer a discount of $0.50 per contract as long as they are making at least 30 traders per quarter (ETFs, stocks, or options). The standard price for contracts on E*TRADE is $0.65, but high-volume traders get a nice break! The big downside to trading with Webull is that they don’t offer discounts for high-volume traders, even though they have minimal fees in comparison to E*TRADE.

Ease of Use
Webull and E*TRADE are both easy to navigate and learn. All the menus and tabs are completely intuitive and well-organized, which is ideal for new and seasoned traders alike. Trader Sentiment
We looked over some customer review sites, including SiteJabber and Trustpilot, to find out what the public thinks of Webull and E*TRADE. Below, we’ve outlined some good and bad reviews to give you a complete picture of how current and prior users have taken to these platforms.
Webull User Feedback
Trustpilot Review—Dated December 16, 2024“I submitted a request to transfer my portfolio from Trading212 to my WeBull account. Regrettably, they denied my request for unfounded reasons. They stated that they only accept stock transfers with a minimum price of $5 and a market capacity exceeding 300 million (this crucial information was not mentioned or highlighted during the transfer request). Furthermore, all my stocks I wanted to transfer into my Webull are currently traded on Webull platform, but they are very elective . This lack of transparency is deeply disappointing.”
–Ameer Oudah
Trustpilot Review—Dated January 9, 2025“My pending orders were cancelled without my approval, It’s almost impossible to get a refund with this company. The customer care representative are so unfriendly, Navigating to the comp mentioned above in display pic saved me from sudden heart attack. Lost all my money at Webull.”
–Marie
SiteJabber Review—Dated June 2, 2024“Untrustworthy company. Huge delays with payments on Webull and not providing answers but more excuses and further lies. Stay away and don’t trust any positive reviews you see here as well, they only trying to get their new customers to keep falling for their trick so they can steal all their deposits.
I read about all the good work and positive impact gvrrecuperattor.online is having on victims of cryptocurrency scams I knew they were the ones that would surely help recover my funds successfully. I reached out to them and provided them with all of the information that they requested. They are definitely not only very good but also have a lot of experience from having successfully recovered funds from and taken down several crypto scams. I got back all of my funds down to the very last cent.”–Lisa R.
E*TRADE User Feedback
Trustpilot Review—Dated January 16, 2024“E*Trade has gone downhill since Morgan Stanley took them over as they are using E*Trade as a cash cow. Customer Service is bad and takes a long time to respond. They used to offer very good sweep options into Money Market accounts – now all cash balances yield 0.1% and there are no direct sweeps into Money Market available anymore. The trading software is quite good and executions fast, however I do not feel valued as a client and will consider my options in the future.”
–EFJ
Trustpilot Review—Dated September 5, 2024“Had log in issues and Nick helped me today by providing access. I hung up at the end by accident so if someone from the company reads it, please tell him how helpful and professional he was.”
–Kathrin
SiteJabber Review—Dated October 10, 2023“Great platform for trading. Very straightforward and not at all scammy like a lot of trading sites can be. Test test test.”
–Traci G.
SiteJabber Review—Dated December 13, 2024“My Roth IRA account has been restricted since 2019. This whole year, I have been trying to either get it unrestricted or transfer my money out. It is ridiculous that this issue is still unresolved. It is worth filing a complaint with FINRA, moving my accounts elsewhere, and passing along knowledge of this long-running issue to others so they can be aware.”
–Tamara L.
Community and Resources
Because their emphasis is on investment research tools, E*TRADE doesn’t have any elements of community interaction, though there are ways to contact the support center for individual inquiries (phone, live chat, or email).
Webull has a community tab that houses its social networking space, where traders and investors using the site or app can ask questions, create polls, or discuss trading strategies. Members can connect with each other and share ideas in a communal setting. A few of the primary community features include the newsfeed, the stock ticker, and polls.
